Shri Atis Kumar Behera

Shri Behera, a retired Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer from Odisha, brings decades of experience in forest conservation, biodiversity management, and environmental governance. During his distinguished career in the Odisha Forest Department, he held several key positions, contributing significantly to afforestation, wildlife protection, and community-based natural resource management. Known for his leadership in implementing eco-restoration and joint forest management programs, Mr. Behera has also played a crucial role in policy formulation and capacity building within the forestry sector. Post-retirement, he continues to offer his expertise as a mentor and advisor in various ecological and conservation initiatives across the state.
